Grundfos Launches Indigenously Developed Energy-Efficient Pump Drive CUE 120

Grundfos

Pune: Grundfos has officially introduced the CUE 120, a next-generation variable frequency drive (VFD) developed in India to meet the specific needs of the Indian market. This launch represents a major milestone as Grundfos India’s first locally engineered product, aligning with the company’s vision of driving sustainable innovation.

Designed for motors up to 22 kW, the CUE 120 offers precise control, improved energy efficiency, and seamless integration with all pump ranges. Research indicates that nearly 70% of VFDs globally operate on default settings, resulting in inefficient energy use and increased operational costs. The CUE 120 directly addresses this issue, offering tailored performance optimization that reduces carbon emissions and lowers operating expenses.

Speaking at the launch, Usha Subramaniam, Country President of Grundfos India, stated, “The Grundfos CUE 120 is a testament to our commitment to innovation and sustainability. Designed in India for India, it empowers industries, businesses, and communities to transition toward smarter and greener operations.”

Highlighting the customer-centric approach behind the product, Shankar Rajaram, Head of Sales, IND, INDO, added, “We identified a strong need for an affordable, easy-to-install, and highly efficient drive. The Grundfos CUE 120 delivers on all fronts, making sustainable pumping more accessible than ever.”

Grundfos Operational Efficiency

By enhancing the performance of existing systems, the CUE 120 ensures reduced environmental impact and operational efficiency. The company has also revealed plans to expand the product’s kW capacity in the future, offering even greater scalability and adaptability to evolving market demands.

With the launch of the CUE 120, the company invites industries, municipalities, and businesses across India to experience a transformative leap in pumping technology and join the movement toward a sustainable future.
