Krafton India Collaborates with DPIIT to Empower Next-Gen Startups

New Delhi: In a significant move to strengthen India’s startup landscape, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Krafton India Pvt. Ltd., reinforcing the role of Krafton India in supporting startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs across the country.

This strategic collaboration with Krafton India aims to accelerate the growth of product startups operating in high-potential sectors such as digital entertainment, online gaming, esports, interactive media, and artificial intelligence-driven technologies.

Through this initiative, DPIIT and Krafton India seek to enable startups to build scalable, industry-relevant solutions backed by structured industry engagement.

As part of the partnership, startups supported by Krafton India will gain access to mentorship, industry insights, knowledge-sharing platforms, and curated engagement opportunities.

The initiative will further assist startups in achieving critical milestones, including Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development, market access, and integration into broader industry ecosystems, wherever feasible.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Shri Sanjiv, stated that the collaboration marks an important step in strengthening India’s digital and creative economy.

He noted that partnerships like this, involving Krafton India, empower startups to innovate, scale, and build globally competitive solutions in emerging technology domains.

Under the agreement, DPIIT will collaborate closely with Krafton India to explore the organisation of innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge.

The initiative will also include targeted hackathons, workshops, and masterclasses across domains such as game design, animation, immersive technologies, esports management, and artificial intelligence applications.

Krafton India: Selected Startups to Receive Opportunities For Pilot Collaborations

The collaboration with Krafton will further facilitate industry interactions, promote knowledge exchange, and provide exposure to global best practices.

Selected startups may also receive opportunities for pilot collaborations, with potential for deeper engagement based on performance and outcomes.

Additionally, the initiative will contribute to ecosystem-building efforts through outreach programmes and participation in Startup India initiatives, enhancing engagement across the national startup ecosystem with active involvement from Krafton.

The MoU was formally signed by Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, T L K Singh, and Head of Government Relations, Krafton India Pvt. Ltd., Vibhor Kukreti, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
