The announcement comes ahead of the inauguration of the India–France Year of Innovation 2026 on February 17, led by Narendra Modi and Emmanuel Macron.
By establishing Motivair liquid cooling solutions manufacturing in India, the company is positioning the country as a strategic manufacturing and export hub within its global supply chain, alongside facilities in the United States and Italy.
Motivair Liquid Cooling Solutions: Addressing the AI Energy Gap
As India expands its digital and AI infrastructure, the need for advanced thermal management solutions continues to grow. Traditional air-cooling systems often struggle to manage the heat generated by high-performance AI chips and dense computing environments.
The localized manufacturing of Motivair liquid cooling solutions aims to address this challenge by enabling scalable and energy-efficient cooling systems for next-generation data centers.
“Artificial intelligence can only scale when powered by energy intelligence,” said Manish Pant, Executive Vice President of International Operations at Schneider Electric.
“India’s data-led transformation requires computing foundations that are reliable and sustainable. The launch of Motivair’s liquid cooling solutions manufacturing in India is intended to support high-density AI infrastructure with the necessary efficiency and performance at scale.”
By producing Motivair liquid cooling solutions domestically, the company aims to reduce supply-chain dependencies and accelerate deployment timelines for AI-ready infrastructure projects across India and global markets.

Strengthening India’s Role in AI Infrastructure Manufacturing
The Bengaluru facility for Motivair liquid cooling solutions will integrate with India’s growing data-center ecosystem, which supports a significant share of global hyperscale computing demand.
Local production is expected to enhance supply-chain resilience while supporting both domestic deployments and export requirements.
“India is moving from a consumer of AI infrastructure to a builder for both domestic and global demand,” said Deepak Sharma, Zone President – Greater India and MD & CEO, Schneider Electric India.
“This transition is a part of a broader shift in the regional landscape,” he added, noting that manufacturing depth and supply readiness are becoming critical enablers for scaling AI-ready data centers nationwide through solutions such as Motivair liquid cooling solutions.
Schneider Electric currently supports a large share of the world’s hyperscale data centers and provides power and energy-management systems to several high-performance computing installations globally.
With nearly every third data center worldwide relying on Schneider Electric’s power, cooling, and digital management platforms, the new Bengaluru facility manufacturing Motivair liquid cooling solutions extends global expertise into localized production capacity.
The company is also showcasing its complete portfolio of AI data-center technologies, including Motivair liquid cooling solutions, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, highlighting its focus on enabling scalable, energy-efficient AI infrastructure in India.
