Pune: Davies Group places India – and specifically Pune – at the centre of its long-term global growth strategy under Davies Vision 2030, with plans to expand its Pune operations from approximately 500 seats to nearly 1,500 seats over the coming years.
Davies CEO Dan Saulter along with CHRO Emma Wedderburn, and India Country Manager Arvind Parashar shared the expansion plans during a media interaction in Pune on January 14, 2026.
Speaking about the company’s India strategy, Dan Saulter said the decision to centralise global corporate services in Pune was taken after an extensive review conducted during 2022–2023.
The move followed an earlier dual-centre presence in Mumbai and Pune, which the company later streamlined to a single Pune-based hub to achieve greater scale and efficiency.

Davies Vision 2030 Anchors Global Corporate Services in Pune
Under Davies Vision 2030, the Pune centre is positioned as a critical global delivery hub, housing corporate functions such as finance, human resources, technology, software development, service desk operations, and selected middle-office services.
These functions were previously distributed across multiple geographies, leading to operational complexity and inefficiencies.
Davies currently operates a 500-seat facility at the Smartworks campus in Koregaon Park, Pune, a location shared with major multinational corporates.
The company has identified additional expansion options within the same building, which it views as a stable and scalable base for future growth.
The planned expansion to around 1,500 seats will be driven by both organic business growth and the continued centralisation of global corporate services.
According to the leadership, this scale-up will also create significant opportunities for career progression, promotions, and skill development for professionals based in Pune.
Four Strategic Pillars Under Davies Vision 2030
Davies Vision 2030 is structured around four strategic pillars:
- Operational excellence
- Sustained investment in AI and technology
- Organic growth and cross-selling of services
- Geographical expansion into new markets
The Pune expansion aligns most strongly with the operational excellence and technology pillars. By centralising services in one location, Davies aims to improve productivity, standardise processes, and accelerate the adoption of automation and AI across corporate operations.

The company is already exploring multiple AI use cases, particularly in insurance claims processing workflows, where automation and agentic AI are being used to improve efficiency across validation, payment, and reporting processes.
India Talent Pool Central to Davies Vision 2030
Dan Saulter highlighted Pune’s strong talent ecosystem as a key reason for its selection as the global corporate services hub. “The city offers access to a young and ambitious workforce, a strong graduate pipeline, and a broad mix of skills spanning insurance, technology, innovation, finance, actuarial science, and cybersecurity,” Dan stated.
Current and planned hiring will focus on technology roles such as software engineers, architects, and service desk professionals, alongside risk, governance, compliance, cyber security specialists, finance professionals, CPAs, and actuarial talent.
The finance team in Pune alone is expected to grow rapidly through 2026 as more global finance functions are centralised.
The company also confirmed plans to strengthen engagement with educational institutions, campus hiring, and structured training programmes, ensuring new graduates are supported with the right infrastructure and learning environment as they begin their careers.
