IEEE FNWF 2025 to Feature Internet Pioneer Vint Cerf and Nokia Bell Labs’ Peter Vetter

Bengaluru: The IEEE Future Networks World Forum (IEEE FNWF 2025) has announced a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Internet pioneer Dr Vint Cerf and Dr Peter Vetter, President of Bell Labs Core Research, Nokia.

Set to take place from November 10–12, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center, the forum will bring together global leaders to discuss 6G technology, sustainability, and intelligent connectivity.

Under the theme “Beyond Connectivity: 6G for a Sustainable and Intelligent Future,” IEEE FNWF 2025 will feature 70+ global experts representing academia, industry, and government. The event aims to shape the future of 6G communication systems and explore how next-generation networks can drive automation, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.

IEEE FNWF 2025: Keynote Lineup and Global Collaboration on 6G

Keynote and featured speakers at IEEE FNWF 2025 include:

These leaders will share insights into cutting-edge topics such as AI/ML-driven communications, Beyond 5G, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), quantum networking, and green technology frameworks.

IEEE FNWF 2025 will also feature industry forums, technical symposia, tutorials, and student-focused programs, including the PhD EDITS and GraTE-7 initiatives, aimed at fostering academic research in 6G.

IEEE FNWF 2025 to Advance India’s Role in the Global 6G Roadmap

Ashutosh Dutta, Founding Co-Chair of the IEEE FNWF and affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, stated, “The IEEE Future Networks World Forum provides a global platform for collaboration between industry, academia, government, and startups to accelerate technology advancement for humanity.”

Adding to this, Dr Latif Ladid, Chair of the 5G World Alliance and President of the IPv6 Forum, emphasized India’s growing leadership in 6G innovation: “India is the second-largest deployer of 5G over IPv6 globally and now plays a crucial role in shaping 6G research and implementation.”

IEEE FNWF 2025: Bridging the Digital Divide through CTUS-APAC and ‘Connect a Community’

IEEE FNWF 2025 will be co-located with the IEEE Connecting the Unconnected Asia-Pacific (CTUS-APAC) Summit, scheduled for November 12, 2025, which will focus on digital inclusion and equitable connectivity.

Following the main forum, the ‘Connect a Community’ program on November 13, 2025, at Hulimangala Gram Panchayat, near Bengaluru, will present ten innovative connectivity solutions developed under IEEE Challenges and Awards. The initiative aims to demonstrate real-world impact by supporting rural digital empowerment.

The event will conclude with the Future Networks Empowerment through Mentorship (FNEM) Connect meeting, engaging local stakeholders, technologists, and policymakers in collaborative efforts toward a connected future.
