Bengaluru: Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation, along with Toshiba Software India Pvt. Ltd., has officially announced the GridDB Cloud IoT Hackathon, a two-day in-person event scheduled from January 31 to February 1, 2026, in Bengaluru.
The initiative invites startups, students, and developers to design and prototype real-time IoT applications using GridDB Cloud, Toshiba’s fully managed time-series database available on Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

The GridDB Cloud IoT Hackathon has been introduced to showcase the powerful capabilities of GridDB Cloud, which became globally accessible earlier this year.

Serving as a next-generation data infrastructure, GridDB Cloud allows enterprises to collect, analyze, and interpret massive volumes of time-series data for faster decision-making and digital transformation.

Building Real-world IoT Solutions Across Industries
Participants will tackle real-world challenges across diverse domains such as smart manufacturing, healthcare, mobility, and energy. The top five finalist teams, shortlisted from online entries, will receive direct mentorship and hands-on technical support from GridDB engineers.
During the onsite hackathon, they will enhance their understanding of time-series data management and cloud-native development before presenting their innovative IoT solutions to an expert judging panel.
