Bengaluru: The Kings School Canterbury, one of the world’s oldest and most distinguished educational institutions, is set to open in Bengaluru, marking its first campus in India.
Established in 597 AD and re-founded under a Royal Charter by King Henry VIII in 1541, The King’s School Canterbury brings to India a 1,400-year tradition of academic excellence and moral leadership.

Through a strategic partnership with Vidhyanidhi Education Trust, The Kings School Canterbury will introduce its globally respected British curriculum to India’s dynamic education ecosystem.
The Bengaluru campus will uphold the school’s founding principles while equipping students with critical thinking, ethical awareness, and global perspective.

The collaboration is led by Dr Kiran Pai, Managing Trustee of Vidhyanidhi Education Trust and Managing Director of Vidyashilp Education Group, in association with Nina Hunt, Managing Director of The King’s School Canterbury International, and Tony Puri, CEO of Minerva International. Together, they aim to blend the school’s centuries-old legacy with the innovation and aspirations of Bengaluru’s education landscape.

Set within the upcoming Century One World, a 135-acre luxury township in North Bengaluru, The Kings School Canterbury will offer an environment conducive to holistic growth.
Designed to balance elegant architecture, green spaces, and a vibrant community, the location aligns with the school’s vision for a world-class learning experience.

Admissions for The Kings School Canterbury, Bengaluru will open in 2026 for select grades, with classes beginning in 2027. The full K–12 school is expected to be operational by 2030.
