Hyundai CSR in Maharashtra: INR 56 Crore Investment for Sustainability and Community Welfare

Mumbai: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has announced a commitment of ₹56 crore towards Hyundai CSR initiatives in Maharashtra, reinforcing its long-term focus on sustainable development and community welfare.

The programmes were formally launched by Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis.

Hyundai CSR in Maharashtra: Focus on Sustainability and Community Development

The Hyundai CSR initiatives in Maharashtra will target key areas such as environment, healthcare, road safety, and social welfare. These projects underline Hyundai’s vision of “Progress for Humanity” and strengthen its collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis remarked, “The initiatives launched today by HMIF reflect a strong commitment to the people of Maharashtra. It highlights Hyundai’s role as a responsible corporate citizen contributing to social progress.”

Hyundai IONIQ Forest: ₹32 Crore Afforestation Drive in Pune

The flagship Hyundai CSR project, IONIQ Forest, will be developed at Dange Chowk in Pune with an investment of ₹32 crore. The initiative will transform 90.5 acres into a major green zone, planting one million native trees through the Miyawaki method.

Road Safety Through Hyundai Easy Roads Initiative

Under the Easy Roads Initiative, HMIF has allocated ₹4 crore to establish a Traffic Engineering Centre and an Organization Development Centre in Nagpur and Pune.

This effort supports the Nagpur Traffic Police’s ‘My Road, My Friend’ campaign to enhance road safety awareness and infrastructure.

Adhikaar Connect and Social Welfare Programmes

The Adhikaar Connect programme, launched in Nashik and Talegaon, will facilitate access to government welfare schemes by assisting communities with documentation, applications, and digital literacy. It will also promote financial inclusion in rural areas.

In addition, Hyundai CSR programmes in Maharashtra will integrate national-level initiatives, including:

  • Sparsh Sanjeevani Telemedicine Clinics and Mobile Medical Units for better healthcare access.
  • Hope for Cancer initiative for awareness and treatment support.
  • Sports Lab for nurturing grassroots sports talent.
  • Art for Hope for cultural promotion.
  • Drive4Progress for driver and automotive training.

Through these multi-faceted programmes, Hyundai CSR in Maharashtra aims to create a strong impact across environment, healthcare, education, culture, and safety.
