MOVCDNER Driving Organic Farming in the North-East
Launched in 2015-16, the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for the North-Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) is a flagship initiative designed to promote organic cultivation in the North-Eastern states. The scheme supports farmers through the entire value chain—from production and processing to certification and marketing.
By forming organic clusters and focusing on small and marginal farmers, MOVCDNER has been instrumental in creating sustainable supply chains, linking farmers directly to markets, and ensuring better price realization.
