Udyam Sakhi Portal Empowers 4535 Women Entrepreneurs with Business Growth Support

New Delhi: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) announced that the Udyam Sakhi Portal has registered 4,535 women entrepreneurs, reaffirming its role as a vital digital platform to support women-led businesses in India.

Udyam Sakhi Portal: Driving Self-Reliance for Women Entrepreneurs

The Udyam Sakhi Portal (https://udyamsakhi.com/) is designed to empower women entrepreneurs by providing access to financial schemes, policies, and programs under the Ministry of MSME.

It enables aspiring and existing businesswomen to build, scale, and sustain their enterprises while promoting self-reliance.

The portal offers detailed information about flagship MSME financial schemes such as the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), MUDRA loans, and Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS).

It also provides guidance on preparing business plans, identifying nodal offices and support organizations across states, and participating in exhibitions, trade fairs, and international events organized by the Ministry of MSME.

4,535 Women Registered on Udyam Sakhi Portal Since Launch

According to the Ministry, a total of 4,535 women have registered on the portal since its inception. Developed in 2018 with an expenditure of ₹43.52 lakh, the Udyam Sakhi Portal continues to serve as a key facilitator for women’s entrepreneurship and economic participation across the country.

Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje, shared the update in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, emphasizing the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening institutional support for women entrepreneurs in India.
