Pune: Griha Sanjivan Foundation, in partnership with Foxscan, has launched a Building Diagnostic Experience Centre in Pune, a non-profit initiative aimed at strengthening the use of technology and data in building inspection, diagnosis and maintenance.
The Foxscan-powered initiative focuses on making building diagnosis more Accurate, Accessible, Affordable and Practical (AAAP), while creating opportunities for skill development among contractors, civil professionals, painters and building-maintenance personnel.
The Experience Centre has been developed to demonstrate how technology-led diagnostic methods can help identify building-related issues at an early stage and support more informed maintenance decisions.

According to the organisations, many diagnostic devices available in the market have traditionally been developed for broader industrial, electrical and mechanical applications.
Foxscan has sought to address the need for diagnostic tools adapted to construction and building-maintenance conditions in India.
The technology includes:

- Integrated laser measurement for surface measurements
- AI and machine-learning-based defect analysis
- Reinforcement-learning capabilities
- A diagnostic model developed using data and learnings from more than 40,000 inspected properties
- Automated diagnostic reports
- Structured recommendations for possible treatment and corrective approaches
Unlike conventional thermal imaging systems that primarily identify temperature variations, Foxscan is being developed as a broader Building Diagnostic Intelligence system, bringing inspection, analysis and diagnosis into a structured workflow.

Foxscan technology-assisted diagnosis can help professionals identify such conditions and assess them before undertaking repair, painting or interior work.
