New Delhi: In a major push to advance Artificial Intelligence in cancer care, IndiaAI Independent Business Division (IBD), in collaboration with the National Cancer Grid (NCG), has unveiled the Cancer AI and Technology Challenge – CATCH Grant Program.
The initiative aims to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions for cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment support, and healthcare operations across India.
Under the program, up to 10 selected projects will receive pilot funding of up to ₹50 lakh each, co-funded by IndiaAI and NCG.

Successful pilots demonstrating strong clinical impact and operational feasibility will qualify for scale-up grants of up to ₹1 crore to support nationwide adoption through the NCG network or other national healthcare channels.
Focus on High-Impact AI Solutions
The CATCH Grant Program will prioritise innovations in:
- AI-enabled cancer screening and diagnostics
- Clinical decision support systems
- Patient engagement tools
- Healthcare operational efficiency
- Research and data curation
Applications are open to startups, health technology companies, academic institutions, and public or private hospitals. Joint applications from Clinical Leads (hospitals or clinicians) and Technical Leads (AI technology developers) are strongly encouraged.

CATCH Grant Program: Deadline and Application Process
Interested applicants must submit their proposals through the official IndiaAI-NCG portal by September 2, 2025.
Speaking about the initiative, IndiaAI officials said the program will emphasise responsible AI development, clinical validation, and readiness for deployment in India’s diverse healthcare landscape.
IndiaAI operates under the Digital India Corporation (DIC), Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), and leads the IndiaAI Mission to democratise AI benefits, strengthen India’s global AI leadership, foster technological self-reliance, and ensure ethical AI adoption.
