Festive Deliveries Drive Peak Demand Across India

During the recent festive season, Uber Courier – already the company’s fastest-growing category — saw a sharp increase in daily and seasonal delivery volumes.

The most commonly delivered items included food, clothes, medicines, and small electronics, with peak delivery activity recorded around Diwali and Rakhi. The busiest hours were between 11 AM and 4 PM, reflecting user preference for daytime delivery slots.

Expanding Opportunities for Drivers and Businesses

Uber Courier continues to generate additional earning opportunities for drivers, with nearly half of all Uber Bike drivers completing Courier trips.

The platform also enables small and medium businesses to reach their customers efficiently through quick, hassle-free deliveries, strengthening their customer engagement.

Strong Traction for Courier XL

Uber Courier XL, tailored for bulkier shipments such as sports equipment, crockery, furniture, textiles, hardware, and large stationery items, also experienced robust growth during the festive period.

Deliveries peaked on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays ahead of Diwali, underscoring widespread consumer and business use.

Nationwide Expansion Plans Ahead

With strong adoption across major metros and increasing traction in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, Courier continues to scale its presence in India’s competitive on-demand logistics sector.

As demand for quick, dependable delivery services grows, Uber aims to further expand its network and strengthen its role in reshaping how India moves packages — anywhere, anytime.
