Mumbai: The National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC), under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has announced an 8-month fully residential training in 3D Animation and VFX (Visual Effects) program, exclusively for youth from India’s North Eastern region.
This initiative offers free training in 3D animation and VFX, complete with accommodation, meals, industry exposure, and professional certification.
The residential training in 3D Animation and VFX is open to eligible individuals from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Applicants must be at least 18 years old (as of June 2025), and must have completed 10+2 or 10th with three years of relevant work experience.

Participants will undergo six months of rigorous classroom instruction followed by two months of on-the-job training in the VFX and animation industry, conducted in collaboration with Aptech Ltd., the training partner for the program. The training will take place at a state-of-the-art facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

A nominal registration fee of ₹1,180 (inclusive of taxes) is applicable.
This is the third edition of NFDC’s residential training initiative for Northeast India, designed to bridge the skill gap in media and entertainment (M&E) sectors.
By equipping young talent with cutting-edge skills in animation and VFX, NFDC is paving the way for long-term employment, entrepreneurship, and digital empowerment in underserved regions.
