New Delhi: The Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and New & Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, will inaugurate a newly constructed state-of-the-art Chemical Laboratory at National Test House Ghaziabad on 10th September 2025.
The advanced laboratory will provide high-precision testing across multiple sectors, including packaged drinking water, natural mineral water, food packaging materials, aluminium and copper wires, coal, petroleum coke, bitumen, enamel paints, anti-skid products, filtration media, chalk, and fertilizers.
The new National Test House Ghaziabad Chemical Laboratory will play a vital role in ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across industries such as construction, water, packaging, metals, plastics, organic products, and fertilizers.
Accredited by NABL under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the facility is also approved under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Outside Laboratory Scheme, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), and the Fertilizer (Control) Order, 1985.
Cutting-Edge Testing Facilities at National Test House Ghaziabad
Equipped with world-class instruments such as Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), Inductively Coupled Plasma – Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES), Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES), Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Ion Chromatograph, the laboratory ensures highly accurate and sophisticated chemical analysis.
In addition to testing, the facility will also offer training, research, and technical support to universities, engineering colleges, and industries, thereby strengthening India’s scientific and industrial ecosystem.
Future Expansion of Testing Capabilities
The National Test House Ghaziabad laboratory has outlined plans to expand its scope of testing into fortified food products such as wheat flour, refined flour (maida), nuts, edible oils, and salt enriched with vitamins A and D.
Further, it aims to introduce spice testing and micronutrient analysis in food products, enhancing its contribution to food safety, public health, and quality assurance.
Established in 1977, the National Test House Ghaziabad continues to serve as a trusted institution for testing and calibration services across diverse engineering and industrial fields.
