Noble Hospitals Introduces AI-Enabled Hologic 3D Mammography System in Pune

Hologic 3D Mammography System at Noble Hospitals

Pune: Noble Hospitals and Research Centre has inaugurated the advanced Hologic 3D Mammography System, marking a step forward in breast cancer screening and early diagnosis.

The Hologic 3D Mammography System offers high-resolution 3D breast imaging, artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted capabilities and post-contrast imaging to support detailed evaluation of suspicious breast lesions.

The new machine was inaugurated by Dr. Dileep Mane, Chairman and Managing Director, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, in the presence of Dr. Divij Mane, Deputy Managing Director; Dr. Sanjay Pathare, Group Executive Officer; Dr. Sagar Kadam, Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Radiology; Dr. Girija Patil, Breast Onco Surgeon; Dr. Ashish Pokharkar, Senior Oncosurgeon; and other dignitaries.

The Hologic 3D Mammography System is designed to help doctors examine breast tissue in greater detail, identify small and potentially suspicious lesions, and improve the assessment of cases requiring further investigation.

One of the key advantages of early detection is that breast cancer may be present even before a woman develops a palpable lump or experiences noticeable symptoms.

By providing more detailed imaging, the Hologic 3D Mammography System can support doctors in identifying abnormalities at an earlier stage and planning timely follow-up investigations.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Sagar Kadam, Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Radiology at Noble Hospitals & Research Centre, said, “Early detection plays a crucial role in the effective management of breast cancer.

This advanced 3D mammography system strengthens our ability to identify suspicious breast lesions at an early stage, even when there is no palpable lump or visible symptom.

The high-resolution 3D imaging, AI-assisted capabilities and post-contrast imaging provide valuable additional information to help doctors evaluate specific areas of concern and decide on the appropriate next steps.”

The Hologic 3D Mammography System combines high-resolution 3D imaging with AI-assisted capabilities and post-contrast imaging to provide additional information when doctors evaluate specific areas of concern.

Dr. Girija Patil, Breast Onco Surgeon at Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, said, “Mammography is an important screening tool for detecting breast abnormalities.

This advanced technology can help us assess suspicious findings in greater detail and identify cases that may require further evaluation.

Once a suspicious lesion is detected, additional investigations, including a biopsy where clinically indicated, can help establish the diagnosis. Our focus is to encourage timely screening, accurate evaluation and early intervention.”

The introduction of the Hologic 3D Mammography System is part of Noble Hospitals’ focus on combining medical expertise with advanced technology for breast cancer screening and diagnosis.

“At Noble Hospitals, our vision is to combine medical excellence with advanced technology to make early diagnosis more accessible and effective.

The introduction of this AI-enabled 3D mammography system reflects our commitment to strengthening preventive healthcare, supporting informed clinical decisions and improving outcomes for women through timely detection and appropriate treatment,” said Dr. Dileep Mane, Chairman and Managing Director, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre.

Dr. Divij Mane, Deputy Managing Director at Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, said, “Early detection can make a significant difference in the management of breast cancer.

The Hologic 3D Mammography System strengthens our diagnostic capabilities, enabling more detailed evaluation and supporting timely, informed clinical decisions.

At Noble Hospitals, we are committed to bringing advanced technology to our patients and promoting the importance of regular breast screening.”

With the inauguration of the Hologic 3D Mammography System, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre aims to strengthen breast cancer screening capabilities through advanced 3D imaging, AI-assisted evaluation and post-contrast imaging, supporting detailed assessment and timely clinical decision-making.
