Amol Nagar, Executive Director, Global Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain, GE Aerospace, said, “We are proud of the progress made in creating a world-class manufacturing and skill base in Maharashtra. Over the past decade, our Pune facility has played a crucial role in building India’s high-value manufacturing and aerospace capabilities.”

GE Aerospace Pune: Operational Excellence through FLIGHT DECK Model

The GE Aerospace Pune plant’s success is underpinned by FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating model that enhances safety, quality, and productivity. By integrating over 1,000 employee-driven recommendations, the facility has significantly reduced waste, streamlined operations, and boosted efficiency.

The plant’s new production line for a critical engine component has achieved remarkable improvements – doubling output, reducing lead times, and minimizing downtime over six quarters.

Vishwajit Singh, Managing Director, Pune Manufacturing Facility, GE Aerospace, stated, “Our Pune team’s contributions are critical to our global supply chain. Components manufactured here are used across the world in building CFM’s LEAP, GEnx, and GE9X engines. Through our FLIGHT DECK lean operations, we continue to deliver quality, safety, and operational excellence.”
