Panaji: Regional airline FLY91 has announced a major operational expansion, increasing its weekly flight count from 100+ to 150 flights during the summer schedule. This growth aligns with its strategic commitment to enhancing regional connectivity across tier-2 and tier-3 cities in India.

Headquartered at Goa’s Manohar International Airport (MIA), the airline marked a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian regional carrier to purchase two ATR 72-600 aircraft at once—a bold shift from its initial leasing model with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise. This dual purchase underlines the airline’s long-term vision for sustainable growth and increased ownership in its fleet.

Since its launch in March 2024, FLY91 has operated over 3,500 flights, transporting nearly 1.7 lakh passengers. The airline’s third ATR 72-600 aircraft has already joined its fleet, with the fourth expected to arrive shortly.

“Our third aircraft’s induction is a proud moment for the team,” said Manoj Chacko, MD & CEO, FLY91. “The simultaneous purchase of two aircraft reinforces our focus on building a dependable, sustainable, and efficient network that connects Bharat’s underserved regions.”

The ATR 72-600, known for its fuel efficiency and capability to handle short runways, is ideal for connecting remote destinations. FLY91 currently operates under the government’s UDAN 5.0 scheme, linking cities like Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, and Agatti with larger hubs such as Goa, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

FLY91 Passenger Experience

Further enhancing the passenger experience, FLY91 has introduced pre-bookable hot meals and beverages onboard—making it one of the few regional ATR operators globally to offer this service.

Looking forward, the airline aims to connect over 50 cities and induct 30 ATR aircraft over the next five years, with a robust presence across multiple regional hubs.
