Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana announced the Bharat Summit 2025, a high-level international conference that will bring together over 450 global leaders, thinkers, and policymakers in Hyderabad to deliberate on the theme “Delivering Global Justice.”
Organized in collaboration with the Samruddha Bharat Foundation, the two-day event will be held on April 25–26 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC).

Timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference that catalyzed the Non-Aligned Movement, the Bharat Summit 2025 aims to create a future-facing platform for progressive dialogue on democracy, development, and global cooperation.
The announcement was made in the presence of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu, and senior Congress leaders including Salman Khurshid, Meenakshi Natarajan, and Gurdeep Sappal, along with Indian Overseas Congress Chairperson Sam Pitroda.

Leaders of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are among the prominent attendees expected to engage in discussions with delegates representing 100 nations, 25 global think tanks, and numerous policy and academic institutions.
Speaking at the event, Bhatti Vikramarka unveiled the official logo of the Bharat Summit 2025 on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and shared that the platform will serve as a hub for democratic, liberal, and just global discourse. “We envision Bharat Summit as a permanent platform that brings together global progressives to reshape the world order based on equity, justice, and cooperation,” he stated.
Minister for Industries Sridhar Babu added, “Bharat Summit 2025 comes at a critical time in global history. It will not only reaffirm India’s legacy in international diplomacy and peacebuilding but also project Telangana as a global destination for dialogue and innovation. This aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision for a ‘Rising Telangana.’”

Commenting on the broader vision, Salman Khurshid said, “With nearly 100 progressive parties participating, Bharat Summit is unprecedented in its scale and significance. It draws from India’s legacy of leading movements like NAM, anti-colonial and anti-apartheid efforts, and aims to create a new global coalition for justice.”
Sam Pitroda emphasized the urgency of global collaboration amid growing geopolitical fragmentation. “Bharat Summit is our attempt to reignite a moral and progressive global movement from Indian soil. Telangana’s leadership has shown foresight in institutionalizing this dialogue.”
