Pune: Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU), Pune, announced a series of landmark achievements during a press conference at its DY Patil Knowledge City campus, with the most notable being the prestigious NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation.
This recognition underscores the university’s commitment to academic excellence and reinforces its growing stature as a leader in higher education, research, and innovation.
ADYPU Achieves NAAC ‘A’ Grade Accreditation
The NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation positions ADYPU among India’s top institutions of learning. Complementing this milestone, the university’s School of Engineering entered the 201–300 band in the NIRF 2025 rankings, while its MBA program received NBA accreditation, solidifying its status among the nation’s best management programs.

Leadership and Institutional Recognition
ADYPU Chancellor Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil was conferred with the Bharat Bhushan Award for his visionary leadership and societal contributions. The university also earned the Great Place to Work certification with an impressive 92% Trust Index score, reflecting its strong culture of trust and collaboration.
Breakthroughs in Technology and Sustainability
ADYPU launched its own supercomputer to advance research in artificial intelligence, big data, and emerging technologies. In another first, it became the first university in India to earn the Net Zero Assessment Certificate at the GNFZ Conference, highlighting its leadership in sustainability.
Student Achievements and Industry Exposure
The university spotlighted notable student successes, including Team Vac-Vectoor’s performance at Innoquest and DesignX Thermal, and the School of Design team’s first-place victory at the DXS24 Global Innovation Challenge (UX India 2024). Legendary automobile designer Dilip Chhabria joined as a mentor, enriching design education with unparalleled industry exposure. A standout achievement was the placement of Devashish Sharma, a 2026 batch student, with Google at a package of ₹55 LPA.

Academic Expansion and Global Collaborations
This year, ADYPU introduced the School of Science, offering programs in Quantum Technology, Nanotechnology, Data Science, and Cyber Forensics.
The university also won the Business Titan Award by Radio City in Phuket and expanded research partnerships through ADYPU-DRIF with the Indian Air Force, IIT Guwahati, Airport Authority of India, and other institutions.
ADYPU also improved its standing in national rankings, securing 79th in Times Engineering 2025 and 77th in Times of India Private Institutes 2025, while its Biotech Engineering program received NBA accreditation.
Further, it signed international MoUs, including one with Purdue University (EPICS), and more than 20 corporate collaborations. The Student Placement & Corporate Relations team earned the Career Connect & Corporate Relations Award for excellence in career support.
NEP 2020 Alignment
The university reiterated its alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, offering multidisciplinary learning, international credit transfers, and mandatory internships to ensure holistic education.
