Pune: India startup funding reached $204.18 million across 16 funding rounds during the week from September 25 to October 1, 2026, according to the latest India Funding Tracker by Sahyadri Startups and powered by Tracxn.
The funding total was nearly double the $102.65 million recorded in the previous week, which saw 13 funding rounds.
The latest India startup funding activity was led by Simple Energy, which raised $180 million in a Series C round. Balwaan Krishi and Arivihan followed with $10.43 million and $10.2 million, respectively.
India Startup Funding Reaches $204.18 Million
The India startup funding tracker recorded 16 funding rounds during the September 25–October 1 period, compared with 13 rounds in the previous week and 12 rounds during September 11–17.
Total funding stood at $204.18 million for the latest period, up from $102.65 million in the previous week. The corresponding funding figure for September 11–17 was $26.82 million.
Late-stage funding accounted for the largest share of India startup funding during the week, reaching $180 million. Early-stage funding stood at $20.63 million, while seed-stage funding amounted to $3.55 million.
The tracker defines seed-stage funding as Seed and Angel rounds, while early-stage funding includes Series A and Series B rounds. Late-stage funding includes Series C and above, PE and unattributed rounds.
Simple Energy Leads Weekly Funding
Simple Energy emerged as the largest deal in the latest India startup funding tracker, raising $180 million in a Series C round. The Bengaluru-based company, founded in 2019, manufactures electric scooters designed for urban and long-distance travel.
Balwaan Krishi secured $10.43 million in a Series B round. Based in Jaipur and founded in 2016, the company provides a platform for buying agricultural machinery and tools. Firstbridge Fund participated as the institutional and lead investor.
Arivihan raised $10.2 million in a Series A round. The Indore-based company, founded in 2019, provides AI and app-based tutoring solutions for school students.
Accel and Prosus were among the institutional investors and lead investors in the round, along with GSFinDIA as an institutional investor.
The remaining disclosed India startup funding rounds included $1.4 million raised by Bangalore Watch Company, $1 million by Alive, $729,687 by Zaperon and $416,964 by Aignosis.
Bangalore Watch Company, founded in 2018 and based in Bengaluru, operates an online platform offering wristwatches. Alive, founded in 2023 and based in Bengaluru, operates platforms facilitating bookings for curated leisure activity experiences.
Zaperon, founded in 2022 and based in Delhi, provides an identity-centric secure service edge platform. Aignosis, founded in 2024 and based in Jaipur, offers AI-based solutions for early autism screening and detection.
Nine Seed Rounds Have Undisclosed Amounts
The weekly India startup funding tracker also recorded nine seed rounds for which funding amounts were undisclosed.
These included Riffle, Wingit, August AI, FIG Living, Unveilr, Nudge, Prodoc, WillJini and ULOOK.
Riffle, Wingit and August AI are based in Bengaluru, while FIG Living is based in Noida, Nudge in Ahmedabad, Prodoc in Bengaluru, WillJini in Mumbai and ULOOK in Bengaluru. The city for Unveilr was not specified in the tracker.
Peak XV Partners was associated with four funding rounds during the period, investing in Riffle, Wingit, August AI and ULOOK. This made Peak XV Partners the most active venture capital investor in the tracker by number of rounds.
Accel, Flipkart Ventures and other investors also participated in funding rounds recorded during the week.
IPO and Acquisition Activity
The India startup funding tracker also recorded two IPOs during the latest period, compared with one IPO each in the previous two weeks.
Moneyview completed its IPO on October 1, 2026, with a market capitalisation of $616.08 million at IPO. Founded in 2014 and based in Bengaluru, Moneyview provides loans, credit cards, gold investment, insurance and UPI services.
Robokidz completed its IPO on September 28, 2026, with a market capitalisation of $11.95 million at IPO. Founded in 2010 and based in Pune, the company is a robotics education provider for children.
The tracker also recorded one acquisition during the September 25–October 1 period. Cavinkare acquired Polka Pop, a Chennai-based manufacturer of zero-sugar sparkling water in assorted fruit flavours. The acquisition price was undisclosed.
India Startup Funding Trend
The latest India startup funding figure comes after monthly funding of $825.93 million across 75 rounds in September 2026, according to the tracker.
The monthly funding figures recorded in the tracker were $798.97 million across 158 rounds in November 2025, $729.10 million across 165 rounds in December 2025, $1.31 billion across 192 rounds in January 2026, and $1.15 billion across 172 rounds in February 2026.
Funding peaked at $2.34 billion across 193 rounds in March 2026. The tracker subsequently recorded $662.11 million across 124 rounds in April, $728.28 million across 101 rounds in May, $1.40 billion across 114 rounds in June, $1.23 billion across 121 rounds in July and $976.24 million across 81 rounds in August.
For the September 25–October 1 weekly period, India startup funding stood at $204.18 million across 16 rounds, with Simple Energy’s $180 million Series C accounting for the largest disclosed deal.
