Pune: ICNDIA 2026, the IEEE International Conference on the Nexus of Digitization, Intelligence and Applications, concluded successfully at the Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune, following two days of discussions on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, networking and intelligent applications.
The two-day ICNDIA 2026 conference brought together researchers, academicians, industry leaders, defence professionals, practitioners and students to deliberate on the opportunities and challenges arising from digitization, artificial intelligence, networking, cyber security and intelligent applications.
The valedictory function was presided over by Chief Guest Major General Parvinder Singh Sidhu, VSM, Chairman, AIT. Addressing the gathering, Maj Gen Sidhu commended the organising committee for creating a meaningful platform for dialogue among academia, industry, research institutions and the armed forces.
He noted that technology achieves its true value when applied to solve real-world problems, strengthen national capability and contribute to societal progress.
At ICNDIA 2026, Maj Gen Sidhu emphasised that as artificial intelligence, automation, digital systems and connected devices increasingly shape daily life, innovation must remain secure, ethical, inclusive, reliable and human-centred.
He encouraged young researchers and students to pursue innovation with responsibility and develop technologies that can contribute to India’s future in areas such as healthcare, education, governance, industry, security and defence.

ICNDIA 2026 Focuses on Digital Technologies and AI
ICNDIA 2026 served as a forum to examine the transformative role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence across sectors.
The conference promoted collaboration and knowledge sharing, with a focus on innovative applications and emerging technological trends.
Participants at ICNDIA 2026 engaged in technical discussions, research presentations, workshops and interactions with domain experts from different fields.
Across the two-day conference, researchers, faculty members and students presented papers through six parallel technical tracks.
The sessions generated wide-ranging discussions on artificial intelligence, cyber security, networking, intelligent systems and practical digital applications.
The conference also featured keynote addresses from eminent experts representing academia, telecommunications, national security and the artificial intelligence industry.
Best Paper Awards Announced at ICNDIA 2026
The valedictory function of ICNDIA 2026 included the announcement of best paper awards and prize distribution.
Participants also shared feedback on the technical sessions and the value of the interdisciplinary dialogue facilitated by the conference.
The organising committee, led by Dr. Sangeeta Jadhav, Head of the Department of Information Technology, thanked the dignitaries, keynote speakers, delegates, reviewers, sponsors, faculty members, student volunteers and support staff for their contribution to the successful conduct of ICNDIA 2026.
