Avanade has appointed Achal Kataria as the Managing Director and CEO of Avanade India, effective immediately, as the company moves into its next phase of growth in the Indian market.

Achal Kataria will lead the company’s India business as organizations increasingly adopt cloud technologies and invest in artificial intelligence (AI) transformation.

The appointment of Achal Kataria marks an important step in Avanade’s growth strategy in India and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to a market experiencing rapid cloud adoption, strong momentum in AI and increasing investment across emerging enterprises and the mid-market.

Avanade said organizations in India are increasingly seeking partners capable of delivering reliable and measurable transformation outcomes.

Achal Kataria Brings More Than Three Decades of Experience

Achal Kataria brings more than three decades of experience across technology services, enterprise transformation, global operations and commercial leadership.

His experience spans several industries, including banking, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications and life sciences.

Before joining Avanade, Achal Kataria led Cognizant’s India business, where he was responsible for driving growth, strengthening strategic client relationships and expanding the company’s market presence.

Throughout his career, Achal Kataria has also held senior leadership positions at EXL, Tech Mahindra, Genpact and Hughes Software Systems, building experience across technology services and business operations.
