Bengaluru: Saugata Saha has begun his tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of Qlik, effective July 31, 2026.
Saugata Saha succeeds Mike Capone and will build on Qlik’s foundation of customer value creation, product innovation and disciplined growth.
As Qlik’s new CEO, Saugata Saha will focus on helping enterprises turn trusted data and artificial intelligence into measurable business outcomes.
His priorities come as AI models, assistants and interfaces become increasingly accessible, while enterprises continue to face challenges around trusted data, business context, workflow integration, governance, cost management and measurable results.
Saugata Saha joins Qlik after more than a decade at S&P Global, where he most recently served simultaneously as President of S&P Global Market Intelligence and Chief Enterprise Data Officer.
The combined role gave him responsibility for running global businesses built on data and intelligence while also leading enterprise data, technology, interoperability and AI capabilities supporting those businesses.
Saugata Saha Takes Charge as Qlik CEO
Saugata Saha assumes leadership of Qlik at a time when AI is raising the standards expected from enterprise technology.
While AI models and interfaces are becoming more widely available, Qlik said the more durable work remains within enterprises, including establishing trusted data, preserving business context, embedding intelligence into workflows, governing action, managing costs and demonstrating outcomes.
“AI is creating a powerful jet stream across enterprise technology,” said Saugata Saha, President and Chief Executive Officer of Qlik. “Models and interfaces are becoming abundant, but trusted context, workflow depth, and operating judgment are not.
Qlik enters this next chapter from a position of strength, with trusted customer relationships, deep product expertise, and technology designed for complex enterprise environments.
Our opportunity is to build on those advantages, help customers apply AI to the workflows that matter most, preserve their freedom to adapt, and turn technology investment into outcomes they can measure.”

Saugata Saha to Build on Qlik’s Position of Strength
Under Saugata Saha’s leadership, Qlik will build on its existing capabilities across data integration, data quality, analytics, automation and AI. These capabilities are designed to operate across the heterogeneous environments already used by Qlik customers.
The company will focus on three key areas.
- Extending Qlik’s Role in High-Value Workflows
Qlik will help customers apply trusted data, analytics, automation and AI to decisions and processes that have meaningful business impact.
Under Saugata Saha, the company aims to extend its role across high-value workflows where customers require trusted intelligence, choice, control and action.
- Preserving Choice as AI Architectures Evolve
Qlik will continue supporting customers across their existing clouds, data platforms, models, applications and partners.
The approach is intended to provide customers with flexibility as AI architectures evolve, without requiring them to operate within a closed or single-provider environment.
- Accelerating Measurable Outcomes
Another priority for Saugata Saha will be strengthening the connection between Qlik adoption and improvements in decision quality, operating speed, cost, risk and customer experience.
Qlik said its technology connects trusted data, persistent business context and governed action across the systems customers already use.
This is intended to make AI more reliable, more cost-efficient and easier to adapt as models, clouds and business requirements change, without requiring customers to rebuild what they already own.
