Visa Launches Enhanced Benefits for Platinum and Classic Credit and Debit Cards in India

Mumbai: Visa (NYSE: V) has announced an enhanced value proposition for its Platinum and Classic consumer credit and debit card portfolio in India, introducing always-on benefits across everyday spending categories with seamless redemption options and broader merchant access.

The move is designed to strengthen the value proposition for millions of Visa cardholders through curated offers across online and offline experiences.

The refreshed Visa offering represents one of the largest deployments of long-term, large-scale consumer benefits in this category in India, covering more than 290 million cards.

The initiative combines rewards and privileges across high-frequency spending segments including food, e-commerce, OTT entertainment, travel and retail, enabling customers to enjoy consistent value across their daily purchases.

As part of the expanded ecosystem, Visa has partnered with leading consumer brands such as Swiggy, Zepto, Meesho, Instamart and Abhibus.

The portfolio also includes collaborations with OTT platforms SonyLiv and Zee5, alongside retail partners including Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, Max, Lulu, More and Star Bazaar, allowing eligible cardholders to access benefits across a wide network of merchants.

The enhanced Visa portfolio enables cardholders to derive value from both everyday and occasional spending through benefits that are simple to access and applicable across digital and physical shopping environments.

Eligible customers can also receive a welcome voucher of up to ₹250 upon new credit card issuance, in addition to access to international airport lounge privileges.

Consumer cards continue to represent a significant segment of India’s payments ecosystem, and as payment preferences evolve, Visa aims to reinforce the relevance of its credit and debit card portfolio through these refreshed offerings.

The upgraded Visa proposition also builds on the company’s extensive merchant partnership network and is designed to support issuing banks in delivering differentiated and compelling value propositions to their cardholders.

By combining everyday savings with travel and lifestyle benefits, the initiative seeks to enhance customer engagement while supporting secure and seamless payment experiences across multiple categories.
