Kabuni Introduces Real-Time AI Cricket Coaching Platform in India

Kabuni

Mumbai: Kabuni, a groundbreaking AI-powered global sports platform, has officially launched at its debut Playtime 2026 event in Mumbai, marking a significant step toward making elite cricket coaching more accessible through advanced technology.

The launch positions Kabuni at the intersection of sport, technology, and play, offering real-time, personalised coaching experiences to cricket players of all skill levels.

Designed to transform how athletes train and develop, Kabuni introduces what it describes as a world-first approach to cricket coaching.

Through advanced artificial intelligence, the platform delivers real-time performance analysis and personalised feedback, enabling players to improve their skills anytime and anywhere.

Alongside the global debut, Kabuni announced its lineup of Super Coaches, featuring some of cricket’s most celebrated names, including Sourav Ganguly, Shane Watson, AB de Villiers, and Shreyas Iyer.

These cricket legends will play a key role in mentoring and inspiring young players through interactive challenges and youth-focused tournaments.

At the core of Kabuni is a mission to place a world-class cricket coach in every player’s pocket.

By democratising access to high-quality coaching, the platform aims to reshape athlete development and make elite-level training available to aspiring cricketers regardless of geography or background.

Built by parents who understand the challenges facing modern families and the growing impact of screen time, Kabuni seeks to encourage people to play more and scroll less.

The platform promotes active participation and shared sporting experiences instead of passive digital consumption, helping users build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections.

Kabuni was founded by Nimesh Patel, who drew inspiration from his own upbringing and the transformative impact sport had on his life.

The platform has been designed to help young people reconnect with sport, unlock their potential, and support parents, teachers, and coaches in fostering more active lifestyles.

The technology powering Kabuni is its proprietary operating system, Kabuni PlayOS. The platform analyses live play in real time, evaluating factors such as timing, balance, alignment, footwork, and sequencing. Based on this analysis, it provides instant and actionable coaching feedback.

Powered by deep performance data from some of the world’s leading cricketers, Kabuni gives players access to insights that were previously available only within elite cricket academies. This enables users to turn everyday training sessions into high-quality coaching experiences.

India has been selected as the launch market for Kabuni due to its vast and passionate cricket community. The company believes the country offers the ideal environment to scale the technology and build momentum before expanding internationally.

Following an initial testing phase in India and collaborations with major governing bodies, the platform is expected to roll out globally later this year.

The launch also marks the beginning of Kabuni’s nationwide campaign, “Do You Want to Play for a Legend?”. The initiative will provide aspiring cricketers aged 12 to 16 across India with an opportunity to compete for a place on teams led by the platform’s Super Coaches.

Participants will train using the Kabuni platform, take part in nationwide trials, and compete for selection into final squads. Successful players will then progress to a national youth tournament hosted at an iconic cricket venue.

Commenting on the launch, Kabuni founder Nimesh Patel said: “For too many young cricketers in India, the biggest barriers are access to high-quality coaching, competitive pathways, and consistent development. Kabuni is designed to change that.

By combining AI-powered coaching with new youth competitions, we’re creating a platform where every young player can train, improve and be recognised – wherever they are, whatever their background.

“India is just the beginning. What we’re building here is a blueprint for the future of sport, one that we believe can scale globally, unlocking potential and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes everywhere.”

By making elite-level coaching affordable and widely accessible, Kabuni aims to support players irrespective of background or ability while complementing rather than replacing traditional coaching.

The platform is designed to support a variety of initiatives, including school programmes, grassroots development efforts, and national competitions.

With its combination of AI-powered coaching, youth engagement programmes, and scalable sports development initiatives, Kabuni seeks to unlock potential at scale and create new opportunities for young athletes to train, compete, and succeed.
