Bengaluru: Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) has announced the launch of enhanced capabilities for its Honeywell Safety Suite 2.0 software platform, designed to provide broader visibility into portable gas detection device fleets for safety leaders across refineries, chemical plants, utilities, and first responder operations.
The enhanced Honeywell Safety Suite platform introduces additional historical data, advanced dashboards, and forecasting capabilities, enabling organizations to better protect workers in real time, track and forecast compliance metrics, and efficiently manage device inventories.
The next-generation connected safety platform is aimed at helping mission-critical operations proactively address risks across multiple sites while monitoring worker exposure to gases in real time.
According to Honeywell, the upgraded Honeywell Safety Suite software ecosystem empowers safety managers and operations teams with actionable insights that support improved decision-making and stronger workplace safety outcomes.
“Safety Suite empowers leaders to detect potential hazards early, prioritize corrective actions and continuously improve safety performance to protect workers on the job,” said Armando Pazos, president, Honeywell Industrial Measurement and Control.
“When operations teams can connect insights from historical trends and real-time metrics, organizations can shift from reactive responses to a proactive, safety-first approach.
This helps to reduce risk, enable faster, more informed decision-making and strengthen a culture where worker safety is embedded in every process, asset and outcome.”
The enhanced Honeywell Safety Suite comes at a time when connected safety technologies are becoming increasingly important for industrial operations.
Beyond protecting personnel, these capabilities help organizations identify incidents earlier and potentially prevent costly damage to infrastructure.

Honeywell noted that responding to gas leaks can cost fire departments more than $500 million in a single year, underscoring the need for real-time monitoring and rapid response capabilities.
The upgraded Honeywell Safety Suite is designed to help organizations address these challenges through a combination of historical analysis, predictive insights, and real-time operational visibility.
With Honeywell Safety Suite 2.0, safety managers can review historical alarm events from a centralized location and analyze past trends to identify recurring risk patterns.
These capabilities support post-incident investigations and help organizations develop more informed safety training programs.
The platform also helps organizations maintain comprehensive worker coverage while delivering operational efficiencies through several enhanced capabilities.
Key features of the upgraded Honeywell Safety Suite include:
- Customizable Dashboards: The software provides customizable dashboards that consolidate worker exposure data, compliance status, and fleet health information into clear visual summaries. These dashboards help organizations measure outcomes more effectively and streamline audit processes.
- Real-Time Employee Alerts: The platform can push real-time alerts directly to employees, notifying them of critical safety events or upcoming device bump-testing requirements. This capability helps maintain operational continuity while reducing the risk of costly downtime.
- Live Gas Detector Readings: The enhanced Honeywell Safety Suite displays real-time readings from workers’ gas detection devices, providing immediate visibility into safety conditions across facilities and operational locations.
Automated Device Management
Guided and automated workflows simplify the onboarding, assignment, calibration, and return of devices to inventory.
These workflows improve asset tracking and save time when portable technologies are assigned to teams, individuals, or multiple workers operating across different shifts.
By combining historical insights, predictive capabilities, and real-time monitoring, the enhanced Honeywell Safety Suite aims to help industrial organizations strengthen worker protection, improve compliance management, and maintain safer operations across complex work environments.
