Bengaluru: Qlik Technologies, a global leader in data integration, data quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI), has announced the appointment of Saugata Saha as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 31, 2026.
Based in New York City, Saugata Saha joins Qlik from S&P Global, where he most recently served as President of S&P Global Market Intelligence and Chief Enterprise Data Officer.
He succeeds Mike Capone, who stepped down after leading the company for eight years.
The appointment of Saugata Saha marks a significant leadership transition for Qlik as the company continues to strengthen its global position in enterprise AI, analytics, and trusted data solutions.
Qlik said Saha brings deep expertise in building, scaling, and commercializing large enterprise data and intelligence platforms.
During his tenure at S&P Global, Saugata Saha led both the Energy division and the Market Intelligence division through periods of transformation, accelerated revenue growth, and margin expansion.
He also became the company’s first Chief Enterprise Data Officer, where he focused on accelerating AI adoption, improving productivity, and enhancing interoperability and distribution of enterprise data.
As Qlik advances its mission of helping enterprises convert trusted data into business action, Saugata Saha will lead the company’s next phase of product innovation and commercial expansion.
Qlik currently serves more than 30,000 global customers, including over 75% of the Fortune 500 companies.
The company is also recognized as a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader across data integration, augmented data quality, and analytics and business intelligence, making it the only vendor to achieve leadership across all three categories.

Before joining Qlik, Saugata Saha served as President of the Market Intelligence division at S&P Global while also holding the role of Chief Enterprise Data Officer and serving on the company’s executive committee.
Earlier in his career, he served as President of the Energy Division and previously held leadership roles including CFO of the Market Intelligence and Platts divisions. He also worked in Corporate Strategy and served as COO of Global Technology at S&P Global.
Prior to S&P Global, Saugata Saha spent seven years at McKinsey & Co. in New York, focusing on financial services, private equity, and fintech clients.
He started his professional journey at The Godrej Group in India, where he worked across sales, e-commerce product development, and the Office of the Chairman.
Saugata Saha holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. Xavier’s College Kolkata, a Postgraduate Diploma from Xavier Institute of Management, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
