Pune: Mercedes-Benz India has reported its best-ever annual performance, with Mercedes-Benz India Sales reaching 19,363 units in FY 2025-26, marking a new milestone for the luxury carmaker.
The strong performance was primarily driven by a 16% growth in the Top-End Luxury segment, highlighting rising demand for premium and high-performance vehicles.
Alongside this record-breaking Mercedes-Benz India Sales announcement, the company also introduced two new high-performance AMG models for enthusiasts in India.
Two New AMG Performance Models Launched

The continued rise in Mercedes-Benz India Sales reflects strong customer demand across both new and existing product portfolios.
Strong Demand for Top-End Luxury and Core Segments
The Top-End Luxury segment, comprising models such as the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach range, EQS SUV, and AMG lineup, remained a key growth driver for Mercedes-Benz India Sales. The segment’s popularity is also evident from waiting periods extending up to 12 months for select models.
At the same time, the Core segment, including the C-Class, LWB E-Class, GLC, and GLE SUVs, continued to contribute significantly to Mercedes-Benz India Sales, maintaining consistent demand across markets.
Notably, the LWB E-Class retained its position as India’s highest-selling luxury sedan, reinforcing its dominance in the segment.
BEV Growth Accelerates in Mercedes-Benz India Sales
Electric mobility played a crucial role in driving Mercedes-Benz India Sales growth:
- Top-End BEVs (₹1.4 crore and above) recorded an 85% growth in FY 2025-26
- BEVs contributed 20% of Top-End Luxury sales
- The EQS SUV emerged as the highest-selling BEV in the portfolio
Further boosting its electric strategy, Mercedes-Benz India is set to launch the CLA BEV on April 24, 2026, marking the brand’s first next-generation software-defined electric vehicle in India. This launch is expected to further enhance Mercedes-Benz India Sales in the EV segment.

Entry Luxury Segment Sees Decline
While overall Mercedes-Benz India Sales remained strong, the Entry Luxury segment declined by 18% in FY 2025-26, amid increasing competition from lower-priced, incentive-driven offerings in the market. However, the company maintained its focus on value-driven offerings rather than volume-led growth.
Retail Expansion to Support Future Mercedes-Benz India Sales
To sustain and expand Mercedes-Benz India Sales, the company has outlined an aggressive network expansion strategy:
- 20+ new luxury outlets planned in 2026
- Franchise partner investments exceeding ₹450 crore
- New outlets planned in Visakhapatnam, Goa, Varanasi, Pune, and Mumbai in Q2 2026
- New facilities already inaugurated in Bengaluru, Bhopal, and Raipur in Q1 2026
This expansion aligns with the company’s ‘Go to Customer’ strategy, aimed at enhancing accessibility and customer experience to further boost Mercedes-Benz India Sales.
Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said: “Mercedes-Benz remains the most desirable luxury brand in India buoyed by strong customer loyalty for both our new and existing products. We are thrilled with the strong demand for our top-end luxury portfolio that set new benchmarks in the luxury segment with exclusivity and personalization. Similarly, a sustained demand for the ‘core’ segment underlines unwavering customer trust for winning products like the C-Class, LWB E-Class sedans and GLC and GLE SUVs.”
He further added: “Our product fireworks for 2026 will continue as we introduce two new AMGs for performance enthusiasts. We are enthused by the overwhelming response to new products like GLS Maybach, the V-Class and the CLA BEV, and customers can expect more desirable products planned across segments for the remaining quarters. Mercedes-Benz will maintain a sharp focus on superior product content and customer aspirations, reinforcing our strategy of value-led growth over volume aspirations.”
