Bengaluru: Ultraviolette Automotive has announced a proposed five-year investment plan to significantly expand its manufacturing footprint in Karnataka, marking a major step in strengthening India’s electric mobility ecosystem.

The development follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ultraviolette Automotive and the Government of Karnataka, aimed at accelerating capacity expansion and innovation with Production Linked Incentive (PLI) support.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the ‘Invest Karnataka’ Conclave in Bengaluru, in the presence of M B Patil, Honourable Minister for Large & Medium Industries, Karnataka.

Through this partnership, Ultraviolette Automotive is set to leverage the state’s proactive policy framework, including incentives such as PLI support and fast-track facilitation, to scale its operations.

  • Phase 2: Establishment of a new production plant in Karnataka with an annual capacity of 150,000 units

This phased expansion by Ultraviolette Automotive is expected to generate employment opportunities, deepen local manufacturing capabilities, and further strengthen the EV supply chain in the region.
