San Francisco, California: Zalos has raised $3.6 million in a seed funding round to accelerate the development of its Computer Agents, designed to operate finance systems the way humans do, eliminating manual workflows across disconnected enterprise tools.
Zalos is addressing a longstanding challenge in finance operations, where teams rely on fragmented systems such as ERPs, CRMs, spreadsheets, email, and banking platforms that lack seamless integration.
Zalos aims to solve this by deploying Computer Agents that log into systems and automate workflows end-to-end, without requiring companies to replace their existing infrastructure.
Zalos believes that the next major productivity leap in finance will come not from replacing legacy systems but from agentic software that can operate within them.
The company’s platform converts screen recordings of finance workflows into intelligent agents capable of navigating systems, entering data, and validating outputs across platforms like NetSuite, Sage, and SAP S/4HANA.
The Zalos funding round was led by 14 Peaks, with participation from Cohen Circle, 20VC, and several notable angel investors. With this capital, Zalos plans to expand its capabilities and scale adoption of its Computer Agents across midmarket and enterprise finance teams.
According to William Fairbairn, CEO and co-founder of Zalos, “Finance teams have the systems, but they are still doing the work manually because the stack is not connected. We built Zalos on the belief that CFOs should not need to rip out their existing stack to adopt the latest in AI.”
Zalos focuses on delivering high-accuracy automation tailored for finance, where errors can carry significant consequences. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Zalos builds purpose-specific infrastructure and evaluation systems to meet the precision requirements of finance operations, ensuring that every action performed by its Computer Agents is auditable and compliant with enterprise standards.
The platform includes enterprise-grade security features such as SOC 2 Part II certification, single sign-on, role-based access controls, and on-premise deployment options.
Zalos: Key Use Cases Include Billing Automation, Month-End Reconciliations, Cross-System KPI Reporting
Zalos was founded by William Fairbairn and CTO Hung Hoang after identifying the inefficiencies in finance systems and automation challenges caused by incomplete APIs.
Their approach leverages Computer Agents to bypass these limitations by directly interacting with existing systems, mimicking human workflows.
Hung Hoang, CTO and co-founder of Zalos, noted that “The rise of reliable Computer Agents creates a third path: automation that sits on top of the existing stack and operates it as a human would.”
Investors have expressed strong confidence in the Zalos approach. Emanuele Larocca, Principal at 14 Peaks, highlighted that the company enables finance transformation without requiring companies to overhaul their systems.
Nate Pontician, Vice President at Cohen Circle, emphasized that Zalos’ Computer Agents act not just as assistants but as full workflow operators, effectively functioning as digital colleagues for finance teams.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand into enterprise ERPs and on-premise systems while building a comprehensive context graph across finance tools. The company aims to enable CFOs to deploy multiple agents simultaneously, driving a step-change in operational efficiency and strategic impact.
