Matisoft Cyber Security Labs to Develop Indigenous Solution for Secure Air-Gapped Data Transfer

Matisoft Cyber Security Labs

New Delhi: Matisoft Cyber Security Labs has received financial backing from the Technology Development Board (TDB), under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, for the development of an advanced indigenous cybersecurity solution aimed at enabling secure data transfer across air-gapped networks.

The funding extended to Matisoft Cyber Security Labs Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, will support the project titled “Development of an Advanced Open-Source Framework Sanitization Tool Facilitating Secure Transfer of Data Between Multiple Air-Gapped Networks.”

The initiative is designed to address the growing need for secure and controlled data exchange in highly sensitive environments, particularly across defence and critical infrastructure sectors.

The solution being developed by Matisoft Cyber Security Labs focuses on creating a robust USB sanitization and data transfer control software. It is specifically engineered to meet the stringent cybersecurity requirements of organizations such as the Indian Navy.

The system ensures that only verified and sanitized data is transferred between isolated networks, significantly reducing risks associated with malware, unauthorized data access, and zero-day cyber threats.

At its core, the platform developed by Matisoft Cyber Security Labs integrates multiple in-house cybersecurity technologies into a unified system.

These include Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and Content Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR).

The integrated framework consists of seven key modules such as centralized policy control, real-time threat monitoring, file sanitization, secure licensing, automated updates, and system installation frameworks.

This comprehensive architecture enables Matisoft Cyber Security Labs to deliver a solution that can effectively scan, analyse, and neutralize potentially harmful content, while preserving file usability.

The system also ensures compliance with organizational cybersecurity protocols through detailed audit logs and strict USB usage policies.

Matisoft Cyber Security Labs: Solution Operates Without Internet Connectivity

A key differentiator of the solution developed by Matisoft Cyber Security Labs is its ability to operate without internet connectivity. This makes it highly suitable for deployment in air-gapped environments where conventional cloud-based cybersecurity solutions are not feasible.

The entire technology stack has been developed indigenously by the R&D team at Matisoft Cyber Security Labs, further strengthening India’s capabilities in building self-reliant cyber defence systems for strategic applications.

Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary, TDB, emphasized the importance of secure digital infrastructure in an increasingly interconnected world.

He stated that TDB’s support for indigenous cybersecurity innovations will accelerate the development and deployment of advanced technologies tailored to India’s defence and critical infrastructure requirements, while also reducing reliance on foreign systems.

The Founder of Matisoft Cyber Security Labs Pvt. Ltd. expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the project will help the company enhance its product capabilities and accelerate the deployment of a scalable and robust indigenous cybersecurity solution designed for highly sensitive operational environments.
