New Delhi: In a landmark move to accelerate industrial growth, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA), with an allocation of ₹33,660 crore to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks across India.
The Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna aims to build world-class industrial infrastructure, unlock manufacturing potential, and drive India’s long-term economic growth.
The approval of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna marks a significant step toward advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat through manufacturing-led growth, enabling job creation, investment inflows, and large-scale economic opportunities.
Laying the Industrial Foundation for Viksit Bharat
Building on the success of industrial smart cities developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP), the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna will be implemented in partnership with state governments and private sector stakeholders.
The scheme is designed to strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem by creating robust infrastructure that supports efficient manufacturing operations.
Through the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna, the government aims to replicate and scale the success of industrial corridors, ensuring balanced regional development and increased industrial output.

From Approvals to Operations: Boosting Ease of Doing Business
A key feature of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna is its strong emphasis on improving ease of doing business. The scheme introduces streamlined approval mechanisms, effective single-window systems, and investor-friendly reforms driven by state governments.
The Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna will create plug-and-play industrial ecosystems where industries can transition from planning to production quickly.
With pre-approved land, ready infrastructure, and integrated services, the scheme significantly reduces entry barriers for investors.
Industrial parks under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna will range from 100 to 1000 acres. Financial assistance of up to ₹1 crore per acre will be provided for:
Core infrastructure such as internal roads, underground utilities, drainage systems, common treatment facilities, ICT, and administrative systems
Value-added infrastructure including ready-built factory sheds, built-to-suit units, testing laboratories, and warehousing
Social infrastructure such as worker housing and support amenities
Additionally, the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna provides support for external infrastructure up to 25% of the project cost, ensuring seamless connectivity with existing networks.
Project selection will be carried out through a challenge-based approach to ensure that only high-quality, reform-oriented, and investment-ready proposals are approved under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna.

Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna: Future-Ready and Sustainable Industrial Ecosystems
The industrial parks developed under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna will be designed as future-ready and sustainable ecosystems. These parks will align with the principles of PM GatiShakti to ensure seamless multimodal connectivity and efficient last-mile access.
The Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna will also emphasize green energy usage and sustainable resource management. Integrated underground utility corridors will enable a no-dig environment, ensuring efficient maintenance and uninterrupted industrial operations.
These initiatives under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna are expected to set new benchmarks in industrial infrastructure by enhancing reliability, minimizing inefficiencies, and boosting productivity across sectors.

The Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, both direct and indirect, across manufacturing, logistics, and services sectors.
By extending across all States and Union Territories, the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna will promote balanced regional development and industrialization.
