Noble Hospitals and NephroPlus Hold Interactive Session to Promote Kidney Health for All

Pune: On the occasion of World Kidney Day, Noble Hospitals & Research Centre, in association with NephroPlus, organised an interactive awareness programme titled “Kidney Health for All” in Pune.

The initiative aimed to promote Kidney Health for All by educating the public about kidney care, preventive healthcare practices, and the importance of early diagnosis of kidney diseases.

The event was designed to encourage Kidney Health for All through awareness about lifestyle choices, nutrition, physical activity, and mental wellbeing – factors that play a significant role in maintaining healthy kidney function.

Experts highlighted that informed lifestyle decisions and routine health monitoring are essential to achieving the goal of Kidney Health for All, especially in the context of rising cases of chronic kidney disease.

Experts Discuss Kidney Health During “Kidney Pe Charcha”

A key highlight of the programme was “Kidney Pe Charcha,” an interactive discussion focused on addressing common myths and concerns related to kidney diseases.

During the session, nephrology specialists shared insights on risk factors and preventive measures necessary for ensuring Kidney Health for All.

Dr. Avinash Ignatius, HOD & Senior Consultant – Nephrology, and Dr. Rakesh Sudhir Shinde, Consultant Nephrologist, spoke about major health risks such as diabetes, hypertension, and unhealthy lifestyle habits that contribute to kidney disorders.

The experts emphasised that early detection and medical guidance are critical components in advancing Kidney Health for All and preventing long-term complications.

Nutrition Awareness for Kidney Care

The programme also included a dedicated diet awareness session led by Dr. Sarika Satav, HOD – Nutrition & Dietetics. She highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition and appropriate dietary practices in maintaining kidney health.

Her presentation explained how healthy food choices and dietary discipline can support Kidney Health for All, particularly for individuals at risk of kidney-related conditions.

“Flex Fun Therapy” Highlights Importance of Physical Activity

Adding an engaging dimension to the programme, Dr. Bhupendra Gupta, HOD – Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, conducted a “Flex Fun Therapy” activity.

The session demonstrated how regular physical activity supports overall health and contributes to the broader goal of Kidney Health for All.

Participants were guided through simple exercises aimed at promoting flexibility and wellbeing, reinforcing the message that active lifestyles are essential for long-term kidney health.

Mental Wellbeing and Kidney Health

The awareness programme also explored the relationship between mental wellbeing and physical health through a “Kidney–Mind Connection” session.

Dr. Vishal Harpale, Consultant Psychologist and Art Therapist, spoke about the importance of stress management and emotional wellbeing in maintaining long-term health.

He highlighted that mental health awareness plays an important role in supporting Kidney Health for All, as stress and lifestyle habits often influence overall health outcomes.

Dr. Divij Mane, Deputy Managing Director of Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, said the programme aimed to increase public awareness about kidney health.

He stated that the effort was focused on encouraging timely health check-ups, healthy lifestyle choices, and early detection, which are crucial steps toward achieving Kidney Health for All and preventing chronic kidney disease.

Kidney Health for All: Community Participation Strengthens Awareness

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from patients, visitors, and hospital staff. Through discussions, expert guidance, and interactive activities, the event successfully highlighted the importance of kidney care and preventive health practices.
