Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh officially unveiled Bharat Tex 2026, positioning the event as India’s flagship global textile platform and a major step toward strengthening the country’s leadership in the global textile economy.
Announcing Bharat Tex 2026, the Minister emphasized that the event will bring together the entire textile value chain on a single global platform, ranging from fibre and yarn to fabrics, garments, technical textiles, and sustainable innovations.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Giriraj Singh said Bharat Tex 2026 is envisioned as the largest and most comprehensive textile event ever organized in India.
The event aims to integrate stakeholders across the industry while reinforcing India’s position as a reliable and sustainable sourcing destination.
He acknowledged the contribution of textile Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies for their efforts in bringing the complete textile value chain under the umbrella of Bharat Tex 2026.

The Minister highlighted that Bharat Tex 2026 will showcase the country’s capabilities across innovation, collaboration, and manufacturing excellence aligned with the spirit of Make in India.
He also noted that the event reflects the Prime Minister’s 5F vision – Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, Fashion to Foreign markets – which aims to strengthen India’s textile ecosystem and global competitiveness.
The official launch ceremony of Bharat Tex 2026 was attended by senior officials including Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, and Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary. Senior representatives of Export Promotion Councils and industry leaders were also present during the announcement.
Bharat Tex 2026 to Host Global Textile Industry at Bharat Mandapam
Building on the success of its earlier editions, Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to be the largest and most impactful edition yet. The event is scheduled to take place from 14–17 July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
According to organisers, Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to attract large-scale participation from across the world. The event will feature over 3,500 business exhibitors, welcome more than 7,000 international buyers from over 140 countries, and host over 1,30,000 trade visitors.
This massive turnout highlights the growing global interest in India’s textile sector and the strategic importance of Bharat Tex 2026 as a global industry meeting point.

Industry-Led Initiative by Bharat Tex Trade Federation
Bharat Tex 2026 is an industry-led initiative that will be organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF). The federation serves as an umbrella body representing 11 textile-related Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) along with other industry associations.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Naren Goenka, Chairman of BTTF, and Bhadresh Dodia, Co-Chairman of BTTF, outlined the various activities planned as part of Bharat Tex 2026, highlighting its role in strengthening global engagement for the Indian textile industry.
