Hyderabad: The Government of Andhra Pradesh has partnered with Calibo to advance business innovation using data and artificial intelligence, with the Calibo AI Academy set to play a central role in building AI-ready talent across the state.
As part of the collaboration, the Calibo AI Academy will be introduced across more than 50 higher education institutions, while the Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox will be deployed to enable the design, development, and secure experimentation of public-sector AI use cases.
Announced in Hyderabad on March 10, 2026, the initiative involves two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed between Calibo and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The collaboration aims to accelerate AI-driven innovation, strengthen the state’s talent ecosystem, and establish Andhra Pradesh as a global AI innovation hub.

The Calibo AI Academy will be implemented in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), while the Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox will be deployed with the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS).
Together, these initiatives will support AI-integrated learning and enable controlled experimentation of AI solutions for governance and public service delivery.
Through the Calibo AI Academy, higher education institutions across Andhra Pradesh will gain access to AI-integrated academic delivery models designed to enhance graduate employability, strengthen faculty capacity, and create innovation hubs aligned with industry and government needs.
The program aims to cultivate industry-ready talent capable of developing and deploying AI-driven solutions across sectors.
According to Calibo, the Calibo AI Academy will be guided by the company’s Digital Business Innovation Methodology. This framework will help institutions integrate applied AI learning with practical industry use cases, ensuring that students gain hands-on exposure to real-world challenges.
Raj Vattikuti, Founder & Executive Chairman of Calibo, highlighted the importance of developing AI-ready talent and experimentation environments.
“AI adoption at scale depends on AI-ready talent and trusted experimentation environments to innovate quickly, responsibly, and with discipline, to turn small bite-sized use cases into high impact outcomes.
Through our partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, we’re promoting AI-driven business innovation and applied AI programs by leveraging a secure sandbox outside of production environments to design, develop, test and validate real-world solutions. This is the kind of model that can help both institutions and enterprises build practical capability and accelerate impact,” he said.
Calibo AI Academy to Strengthen AI Education Ecosystem
Under the partnership with APSSDC, the Calibo AI Academy will act as the applied AI programs partner for higher education institutions in Andhra Pradesh.
The initiative will introduce structured AI curriculum frameworks aligned with industry practices and emerging technology requirements.
Through the Calibo AI Academy, Calibo will support institutions in designing AI curriculum frameworks, delivering AI education through blended learning models, and enabling faculty development programs to strengthen institutional capacity.
The initiative also includes establishing a secure Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox environment to enable experimentation with applied industry and government use cases.
By embedding applied AI learning through the Calibo AI Academy, the program aims to support the development of innovation-focused institutions capable of producing graduates equipped with skills in analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and emerging AI technologies.

Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox for Public Sector AI Use Cases
Alongside the rollout of the Calibo AI Academy, Calibo will also deploy the Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox in partnership with the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS).
The sandbox will serve as a secure enterprise experimentation environment for developing and validating public-sector AI use cases before deployment.
The Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox will enable controlled design, development, testing, and validation of AI models for governance applications. By operating outside production environments, the platform allows teams to experiment safely while ensuring responsible AI development practices.
Through this environment, government teams will be able to move AI use cases through the entire lifecycle—from problem definition and model development to pilot validation and impact evaluation.
The initiative is expected to support the development of AI-driven governance solutions while improving efficiency in public service delivery and enabling data-driven decision-making across government departments.
State Government Aims to Build a Global AI Innovation Hub
The launch of the Calibo AI Academy and the AI Innovation Sandbox is aligned with the Government of India’s IndiaAI Mission and broader efforts to strengthen AI adoption across sectors.
N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, emphasized the importance of building scalable AI talent and responsible innovation frameworks.
“We want Andhra Pradesh to be a place where AI talent is built at scale and responsible innovation moves from ideas to impact. Partnering with Calibo, we will strengthen AI education across 50+ higher education institutions through curriculum frameworks and faculty development, and establish a state-level AI Sandbox to securely validate AI solutions for governance and citizen services before they scale,” he said.
Through the Calibo AI Academy and the AI Innovation Sandbox, the state government aims to strengthen both talent development and governance innovation while enabling rapid development of AI-driven use cases for public services.
