UIDAI Google Maps Integration to Display Authorised Aadhaar Centres Across India

UIDAI Google Maps integration

New Delhi: The UIDAI Google Maps integration will soon enable residents across the country to locate the nearest verified Aadhaar Centres and check the services available at each location.

In a significant move aimed at improving accessibility and convenience, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has joined hands with Google to display authorised Aadhaar centres on Google Maps.

Through the UIDAI Google Maps integration, residents will be able to identify Aadhaar Centres based on the specific services offered.

These include adult enrolment, child enrolment, and services limited to address and mobile number updates. The initiative is designed to help users make informed decisions before visiting a centre, thereby saving time and ensuring a smoother experience.

Under the UIDAI Google Maps Integration, additional details related to accessibility and infrastructure will also be displayed wherever applicable.

Information such as divyang-friendly infrastructure, availability of parking facilities, and operating hours will be visible to users. This enhanced transparency aims to provide a more convenient and inclusive experience for Aadhaar number holders nationwide.

The facility under the UIDAI Google Maps Integration is expected to be rolled out in the coming months.

Once live, users searching on Google Maps will be directed only to verified Aadhaar centres, helping them avoid misinformation and unauthorised service providers.

The collaboration under the UIDAI Google Maps Integration will ensure seamless access to over 60,000 Aadhaar centres across India, including state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs).

By making verified information easily accessible, the initiative strengthens trust in digital governance infrastructure while simplifying citizen services.

“UIDAI is always focused on improving ease of living for Aadhaar number holders. This collaboration will ensure that navigating the authorised Aadhaar centres is now simpler, faster, and more transparent,” said Bhuvnesh Kumar, CEO, UIDAI.

UIDAI Google Maps Integration: Creating More Responsive Service Ecosystem

In the next phase of the UIDAI Google Maps Integration, UIDAI will leverage Google Business Profile to manage centre information and directly respond to public feedback. This step is expected to enhance transparency and create a more responsive service ecosystem.

Looking ahead, the UIDAI Google Maps Integration may also introduce direct appointment booking through the Google Maps interface. This would allow residents to schedule visits efficiently, further reducing wait times and improving service delivery.

“By joining hands with UIDAI to integrate verified Aadhaar centres, we are making it easier for millions of residents to find trusted services with confidence and bridging the gap between essential government infrastructure and the people who need it most,” said Roli Agarwal, Country Head, Strategic Partnerships at Google India.

With the UIDAI Google Maps Integration, the partnership marks a step forward in strengthening digital public infrastructure and enhancing citizen-centric services across India.
