Pune: The new executive leadership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the 2026–27 term (ICAI Leadership 2026) has been elected in New Delhi, with CA Prasanna Kumar D assuming office as President and CA Mangesh Pandurang Kinare elected as Vice-President.

ICAI Leadership 2026: New Executive Council Announced

CA Prasanna Kumar D becomes the 74th President of ICAI. A Chartered Accountant since 1984 and a Fellow Member of ICAI, he brings over four decades of professional experience.

His leadership journey began with student-centric initiatives in SICASA, followed by serving as Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Branch (2001–02) and later as Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council (2013–14).

He has served multiple terms on ICAI’s Central Council and chaired several key committees focused on governance, institutional strengthening, and member welfare.

During his tenure as Vice-President in 2025–26, the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Fund recorded contributions of ₹6.09 crore and assistance of ₹2.24 crore to families of members in need.

He currently serves as Technical Advisor to IFAC Board Members and as a Board Member of SAFA, representing ICAI at global professional forums.

As President of ICAI, he serves as Chairman of all Standing Committees and chairs ICAI’s research and development institutions and welfare funds.

ICAI Leadership 2026: Mangesh Kinare’s Third Term as Central Council Member

Meanwhile, CA Mangesh Pandurang Kinare, elected as Vice-President, is serving his third term as a Central Council Member of ICAI and brings more than 33 years of experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and corporate governance.

He has previously served as Chairman of the Professional Development Committee and the Committee on Public and Government Financial Management, Vice-Chairman of the Centre of Excellence Directorate.
