MAAC Career X and Creator X

Mumbai: Maya Academy of Advanced Creativity has unveiled MAAC Career X and Creator X, a first-of-its-kind, industry-collaborated academic framework aimed at transforming creative education in India.

Designed for learners in animation, visual effects, gaming, and digital content creation, the initiative introduces a structured, multi-level learning approach aligned with the needs of the AVGC-XR and digital content industries.

As India’s first AVGC-XR academy to roll out such a holistic, practitioner-led model, MAAC Career X and Creator X integrate foundational education, specialised learning tracks, and advanced career pathways.

The programs are delivered by seasoned industry experts to ensure students gain relevant, real-world exposure while building future-ready skills.

MAAC Career X and Creator X Focus on Industry-Aligned Learning

The newly launched programs are supported by collaborations with 13 knowledge partners spanning post-production studios, gaming companies, content creators, and technology leaders.

Partner organisations include Cimpress (parent company of VistaPrint), PhysicsWallah, Godspeed Gaming, Pocket Films, phantomFX, Rocket Science Animation, Cedge Productions, Pixel and Ratio, Resonance Digital LLP, Nilee Games, Mugafi, and Zebu Animation Studios. Canon has also joined as a knowledge partner for the Creator X curriculum and learning experience.

Through MAAC Career X and Creator X, the academy aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations at a time when demand for skilled professionals across animation, VFX, gaming, immersive media, and digital content creation continues to rise.

Speaking at the launch, Sandip Weling, Whole-time Director and Chief Business Officer, Global Retail, Aptech Limited, highlighted that the programs are designed to develop technically strong, adaptable talent capable of contributing from day one.

He noted that Career X and Creator X offer clear learning outcomes, deeper specialisation, and exposure to real-world workflows, with an emphasis on originality and storytelling.

The learning structure allows MAAC students to undergo their core, career-focused curriculum during the initial phase. Based on interest and aptitude, students can then opt for the Creator X pathway, which is designed as an industry-integrated, practitioner-led program for aspiring content creators and creative entrepreneurs.

Creator X equips learners with skills to ideate, produce, publish, and monetise content across formats, covering areas such as short-form video, digital comics, AI-enabled workflows, multi-platform publishing, branding, monetisation strategies, IP rights, and responsible content creation.

The program is built in collaboration with technology partners, creator networks, and content platforms.

With MAAC Career X and Creator X, students gain two distinct outcome-driven pathways – one focused on structured career opportunities within the AVGC-XR industry, and the other tailored for those seeking to build independent careers in the growing creator economy.

Introduced during MAAC’s 25th anniversary celebrations and alongside the 24FPS Creator Fest, the launch marks a key milestone in the institution’s evolution.

Abir Aich, Executive Vice President, Content, Academics & Emerging Technologies at Aptech Ltd., stated that the programs together create a future-ready ecosystem that supports both industry careers and creator-led entrepreneurial journeys.

As MAAC marks its silver jubilee year, MAAC Career X and Creator X strengthen its mission to expand opportunities for India’s creative talent and support the country’s emergence as a global AVGC-XR hub.

By prioritising structured learning, innovation, and industry alignment, MAAC continues to prepare learners for success across studios, digital platforms, and independent creative ventures.
