Luma AI

Mumbai: Luma AI has raised $900 million in its Series C funding round, marking a significant milestone for the frontier AI company focused on building multimodal AGI.

The round was led by HUMAIN, a PIF-owned full-stack AI solutions provider, with participation from AMD Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Amplify Partners, and Matrix Partners.

Luma AI and HUMAIN Partner on 2GW Supercluster Expansion

In this strategic partnership, Luma AI will utilize HUMAIN’s Project Halo, a 2-gigawatt AI supercluster currently under development in Saudi Arabia.

Set to become one of the world’s largest AI compute infrastructures, the supercluster will support the training and deployment of advanced World Models – AI systems that go beyond LLMs by learning from multimodal data including video, audio, images, and language.

The announcement was made in Washington, D.C., during the U.S.–Saudi Investment Forum attended by Crown Prince HRH Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud. Both companies outlined a shared roadmap to advance multimodal intelligence globally.

Advanced World Models with Frontier Infrastructure

According to Luma AI CEO and co-founder Amit Jain, access to HUMAIN’s rapid-deployment compute infrastructure will be crucial in building AI systems capable of learning from a quadrillion tokens of multimodal information.

Jain emphasized that these systems will support breakthroughs in robotics, entertainment, advertising, gaming, and personalized education.

HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin stated that the investment reflects the company’s philosophy of building the full AI value chain. He noted that Luma AI’s research velocity and productization capabilities make it an ideal partner for scaling multimodal world models at a frontier level.

Commercial Footprint with Ray3 and HUMAIN Create

Luma AI’s flagship Ray3 model has already achieved widespread adoption across studios, advertising agencies, and global brands, including being integrated into Adobe products. The new capital will support Luma AI’s expansion into simulation, design, and robotics.

The collaboration also strengthens HUMAIN Create, a regional initiative focused on developing culturally aligned AI models for the Arabic-speaking world. Luma AI was the first set of models integrated into the program to create sovereign AI solutions tailored to local linguistic, visual, and cultural contexts.
