DDN EXAScaler Powers Yotta’s Shakti Cloud under IndiaAI Mission

EXAScaler

Mumbai: In a landmark development for India’s artificial intelligence infrastructure, DDN, a global leader in AI and data intelligence solutions, has partnered with Yotta Data Services, one of India’s foremost cloud and AI infrastructure providers, to deploy EXAScaler systems that will power India’s sovereign AI initiative under the IndiaAI Mission.

As part of this strategic collaboration, Yotta has completed a multi-million-dollar deployment of DDN EXAScaler AI400X3 systems, supporting 8,000 NVIDIA B200 GPUs within Yotta’s Petascale AI cloud infrastructure.

The deployment forms the technological backbone of Shakti Cloud, Yotta’s end-to-end AI services platform.

Multi-Million-Dollar EXAScaler Deployment to Boost Shakti Cloud

This initiative marks one of the largest sovereign AI infrastructures in Asia, aimed at accelerating innovation, enhancing data security and compliance, and advancing India’s long-term vision of global AI leadership.

The deployment of EXAScaler enables Yotta to deliver a secure, high-performance, multi-tenant AI cloud designed for advanced AI training, inference, and foundation model development.

The platform offers:

  • Unmatched scalability and throughput, powered by DDN’s parallel file system architecture delivering high bandwidth and linear scaling.
  • Secure multi-tenancy and data integrity, supporting regulated sectors like BFSI and healthcare.
  • Proven DGX SuperPOD-class performance, with DDN recognized as the first NVIDIA ecosystem partner in both SuperPOD and NCP reference architectures.

“Sovereign AI is not just a goal – it’s the foundation for nations to unleash the full potential of artificial intelligence while maintaining control, security, and strategic independence,” said Alex Bouzari, CEO and Co-Founder of DDN.

“With EXAScaler at the heart of this initiative, we’re delivering the speed, scale, and reliability required to fuel breakthrough AI innovation in India.”

EXAScaler: Driving Performance, Security, and Sovereignty

Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder, MD, and CEO of Yotta, stated that this collaboration reinforces Yotta’s commitment to advancing India’s AI capabilities under the IndiaAI Mission.

“By combining Yotta’s expertise in AI infrastructure with DDN’s EXAScaler platform, we are enabling India’s enterprises, government, and researchers to access a fully sovereign, compliant, and scalable AI ecosystem,” Gupta said.

Aligned with the Make in India initiative, the deployment supports local manufacturing, workforce development, and data residency compliance. It also enhances India’s domestic AI supply chain, reduces total cost of ownership (TCO), and ensures infrastructure resilience.
