Mumbai: In a strategic collaboration, ACES India (a wholly owned entity of ACES, Saudi Arabia) and BSNL have joined hands to deploy advanced 4G and 5G Connectivity on Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3 through in-building solutions (IBS). This marks a pivotal leap forward in Mumbai’s transit communication infrastructure.

The announcement coincided with several landmark inaugurations: the opening of Navi Mumbai International Airport, the launch of the “Mumbai One App – One App, Limitless Journeys,” and the commencement of Phase 2B operations on Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3, connecting Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

5G Connectivity on Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3: Seamless Coverage Across the Underground Corridor

Under the agreement, the IBS deployment will span the entire 33.5 km subterranean route, encompassing 27 stations and associated tunnel segments, to ensure uninterrupted 5G Connectivity on Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3 for millions of metro users.

This project marks BSNL’s inaugural deployment of a metro-level advanced IBS system in Maharashtra, setting a new benchmark for urban mobility connectivity.

“This collaboration with BSNL is a milestone in India’s digital infrastructure journey. ACES India is leading the way in extending next-generation connectivity to urban transit systems,” said Dr Akram Aburas, Group CEO, ACES.

The Aqua Line-3 IBS rollout will redefine standards for underground connectivity and public service delivery.”

The signing ceremony was witnessed by senior personnel from both organizations – including Dr. Akram Aburas, Mohammed N Mazher, Suresh Kumar (Commercial Director, ACES India), Harinder Kumar Makkar, Vandana Sethi (PGM, CFA, BSNL), Vinod Kumar Dwivedi (GM, CM, BSNL), and other distinguished representatives.

By spearheading the IBS deployment on Aqua Line-3, BSNL consolidates its role in enabling 5G Connectivity on Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3 and advanced connectivity across major metro systems nationwide.
