Nagpur: The Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM Nagpur) has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award for its flagship Mining Tenement System (MTS) at the National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2025 held in Visakhapatnam.
The recognition highlights IBM’s innovation and excellence in advancing digital transformation within the mining sector.
Recognization for MTS Project at NCeG
The award was received by Pankaj Kulshrestha, Controller General (In-charge), and P K Bhattacharjee, Controller of Mines, who spearheaded the MTS project.
They were presented with a trophy, certificate, and a cheque of ₹10 lakh by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh during the event organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) on September 22, 2025.
The MTS initiative by IBM Nagpur was honored under the category “Government Process Re-engineering by Use of Technology for Digital Transformation.” The project underscores IBM Nagpur’s commitment to digitization, governance reforms, and transparency in the mining sector.
Andhra Pradesh CM Interacts with IBM Nagpur Team
During the conference, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the IBM Nagpur stall and interacted with the MTS project team led by Bhattacharjee.
The team explained how the MTS platform enhances governance efficiency and transparency.
