Busan/New Delhi: India has inaugurated the WAVES Bazaar Bharat Pavilion at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) 2025, held alongside the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in South Korea.
The Pavilion, launched on September 20, will run until September 23, spotlighting India’s creative economy, emerging digital content, and media technologies.
Organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with the Embassy of India, Seoul, the Pavilion is part of the broader WAVES Bazaar outreach program.
It aims to position India as a global content hub by showcasing Indian cinema, television, and digital storytelling while creating new opportunities for co-productions and cross-border partnerships.

The inauguration brought together prominent international dignitaries, including Kang Sungkyu, Director, Busan Film Commission, Agnieszka Moody, Head of International and Industry Policy, British Film Institute (BFI), and Ferdinando Gueli, Trade Commissioner, Italian Trade Agency, Seoul.
From India, senior government officials including Prithul Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, and Nishi Kant Singh, Chargé d’Affaires, Embassy of India, Seoul, were present.
Celebrated Indian filmmakers such as Arfi Lamba, Pradip Kurbah, and Tannishtha Chatterjee joined the event, adding creative depth to India’s representation at the global stage.
WAVES Bazaar Bharat Pavilion: A Global Platform for Indian Content
The Pavilion serves as a dedicated platform to:
- Showcase Indian films, stories, and digital content to global buyers.
- Facilitate B2B meetings between Indian and international producers, distributors, and streaming platforms.
- Explore partnerships in new-age domains including animation, VFX, gaming, and immersive storytelling.

Dignitaries emphasized that India’s growing significance in the global content economy makes WAVES Bazaar a key initiative in bridging Indian creators with international markets.
