New Delhi: The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India, has announced a new category titled “National Energy Conservation Awards for Content Creators and Influencers” under the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025.
This new category under the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 aims to leverage the influence of digital platforms in promoting energy efficiency, conservation, and sustainable lifestyles.
National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 Expands to Digital Media
The initiative aligns with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) by encouraging creators and influencers to spread awareness and inspire citizens to adopt energy-saving practices.

Legacy of the National Energy Conservation Awards
Instituted in 1991, the National Energy Conservation Awards have become one of India’s most prestigious recognitions for excellence in energy efficiency across industries, buildings, and institutions. For more than three decades, NECA has motivated organizations to embrace sustainable practices, significantly contributing to India’s long-term development goals.
Content Creators and Influencers to Drive Energy Awareness
With the introduction of the new category in the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025, the platform now extends its recognition to the digital community.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency acknowledges the vital role of creators and influencers in shaping public behavior through impactful storytelling and large-scale reach.
Contest Details for NECA 2025
Open to creators and influencers with minimum 10,000 followers on any major social media platform.
Participants must create original short videos (up to 90 seconds) in Hindi or other Indian languages with English or Hindi transcripts.

Recognition at the Highest National Level
Winners will be felicitated at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 Ceremony on 14 December 2025 in New Delhi, which will be graced by the President of India. This continues the tradition of NECA in recognizing outstanding contributions to India’s energy conservation journey at the highest level.
