SIG Tattva Invests INR 3.5 Cr in Crion Technologies, Launches Pilot Before Pitch Program for Start-ups

New Delhi: SIG Tattva, the corporate venture capital arm of Somany Impresa Group, has announced a ₹3.5 crore investment in Crion Technologies, a deep-tech company focused on IoT, AI, AR/VR, and cloud-based digital solutions.

The dual announcement also marked the official launch of SIG Tattva’s flagship industry-first initiative, the ‘Pilot Before Pitch (PBP)’ program, aimed at reshaping how start-ups collaborate with large enterprises.

Crion Technologies is the creator of Clonos, a digital twin platform that provides enterprises with real-time insights and predictive analytics to optimize asset management, reduce downtime, and enhance decision-making. The investment from SIG Tattva is expected to help Crion scale operations, accelerate product development, and expand into new markets.

Vishnuvardhan Jayachandran, CEO of Crion Technologies, said the partnership with SIG Tattva will “accelerate growth and allow Clonos to deliver greater impact across manufacturing, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.”

SIG Tattva introduces ‘Pilot Before Pitch’ to boost start-up collaboration

Alongside the investment, SIG Tattva unveiled its Pilot Before Pitch (PBP) program, designed to allow start-ups to validate their technologies in real-world industrial environments before seeking large-scale funding or adoption.

The program’s launch event brought together leading venture capital firms including Huddle Ventures, TVS Capital, Pontaq, Alteria Capital, Arali Ventures, Forge, and Nirman Venture, as well as start-ups and academia, for a day of showcases and collaborative discussions.

Shashvat Somany, Founder of SIG Tattva, highlighted that the initiative aims to create a new model for industry–innovation collaboration. “With the launch of our Pilot Before Pitch program, we want to give start-ups the opportunity to validate solutions in real-world environments and then support them to scale,” he said.

PBP launch at AGI Greenpac’s Bhongir Plant

The PBP program was launched at AGI Greenpac’s Bhongir Glass Manufacturing Plant, India’s largest glass bottle manufacturing facility. The visit showcased Somany Impresa Group’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and demonstrated how start-ups can leverage SIG Tattva’s access to large-scale industrial ecosystems, expertise, and execution pathways.

Sriharsha Bandaluppi, Head of SIG Tattva, added that the initiative “brought venture investors, academia, and start-ups together under one roof, highlighting how industry can accelerate the adoption of breakthrough technologies.”

With the PBP program, SIG Tattva aims to create one of India’s most collaborative deep-tech ecosystems, enabling start-ups, investors, and enterprises to co-create and scale solutions that address real-world industrial challenges.
