ZF India Launches Advanced Railway Dampers in India for Metro and High-Speed Rail

Pune: ZF India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Germany, has announced the launch of its next-generation railway dampers for metro, semi-high-speed, high-speed, and locomotive applications.

Introduced at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025, the new range underscores ZF’s commitment to innovation, localization, and rail modernization in India.

The newly introduced railway dampers feature a maintenance-free twin-tube design, offering high dynamic stiffness, superior durability, and extended service life.

Engineered to withstand extreme operational conditions, these dampers are designed to deliver enhanced ride comfort, reduce downtime, and lower the total cost of ownership for rail operators.

ZF’s Pune-based Chakan plant will handle production, marking a significant step in the company’s localization strategy. The dampers have been validated to ZF’s global standards, ensuring world-class quality and performance tailored to Indian requirements.
