New Delhi: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has established nine additional Technology Centres under the Technology Centre Systems Programme to enhance technical and skill development support for MSMEs across the country.
With these additions, the total number of Technology Centres has increased to 27, including the existing 18 centres already in operation.
Under the Technology Centre Systems Programme, the government has allocated ₹200 crore for the establishment and operational expenditure of Technology Centres during the financial year 2025–26.

This funding is aimed at expanding access to advanced manufacturing technologies, capacity building, and skill development for MSME entrepreneurs and employees.
Technology Centre Systems Programme Drives Large-Scale MSME Training
During the financial year 2024–25, the newly established Technology Centres under the Technology Centre Systems Programme, along with the existing centres, trained more than 3.28 lakh trainees.
The beneficiaries included MSME entrepreneurs, skilled workers, and employees seeking upskilling and reskilling opportunities aligned with industry requirements.
As part of the Technology Centre Systems Programme, the Technology Centres have also organised specialised training programmes focused on advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

To further strengthen MSME-focused skill development, modules on AI, Robotics, and IoT have been incorporated into both long-term and short-term training programmes offered by the centres.
