Bengaluru: Infineon Technologies India has announced the establishment of a new state-of-the-art facility at Bagmane Solarium Tech Park, reinforcing its commitment to semiconductor innovation, sustainability, and R&D expansion in the country.
The new Infineon Technologies India campus, named “SILANE,” will unify the company’s two existing sites into a single location in Bengaluru.
The facility will span 630,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate up to 4,500 employees by 2030, including 170,000 square feet of high-tech laboratories dedicated to developing advanced semiconductor solutions for decarbonization and digitalization.

Vinay Shenoy, Managing Director of Infineon Technologies India, said, “India’s dynamic ecosystem and growing talent pool offer immense opportunities for technological progress and business expansion. We are expanding our R&D footprint to leverage this potential, aiming to double our workforce to 4,500 by the beginning of the next decade.”
SILANE: A sustainable and collaborative workplace for innovation
Located in the east of Bengaluru, the new Infineon Technologies India campus at Bagmane Solarium Tech Park will serve as a central hub for its India operations.
The modern facility is designed to encourage collaboration among teams, customers, and partners while providing a sustainable and efficient working environment.
Ashok Rao, Senior Director for Finance at Infineon Technologies India, stated, “The move marks a significant milestone following our acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor and aligns with our strategy to unify operations in India. The new campus provides an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.”

SILANE: Green energy and employee-focused amenities
The SILANE campus will meet LEED Gold and WELL standards for sustainability, energy efficiency, and employee well-being. It will be fully powered by 100% renewable energy and include a range of modern amenities such as a daycare center, fitness facilities, and multiple dining options.
The site’s strategic location offers connectivity through two metro lines and potential access to a suburban railway station in the future, enhancing accessibility for the growing workforce.
The construction of Infineon Technologies India’s new Bengaluru campus began following the signing of a lease agreement, with completion and operations expected to commence by autumn 2026.
