Nagpur: Setco Auto Systems Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Setco Automotive Limited (BSE: 505075, NSE: SETCO), has entered into a strategic partnership with Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, to drive collaborative research and innovation in the automotive sector.

The agreement between Setco Auto Systems and VNIT is designed to enhance advancements in drivetrains, friction-facing technology, electric mobility, and sustainable vehicle solutions.

A key highlight of the collaboration will be the establishment of a dedicated Clutch Research Laboratory within VNIT’s Mechanical Engineering Department. This facility will focus on innovative technologies, new product development, and advanced testing methodologies.
Industry-Academia Partnership for Automotive Innovation
Through this MoU, Setco Auto Systems aims to accelerate innovation in clutch systems to improve product performance, durability, and lifecycle. VNIT students will gain hands-on industry experience through access to testing facilities, live projects, internships, and mentorship from Setco’s R&D specialists.
